Early Warning

Our Early Warning and Monitoring solution has been implemented at one of the leading commercial Banks in Hungary. The main aim of the application is to identify potential problems with transactions, customers and customer groups of different client segments, and to reduce risks via predefined action plans, covering all related tasks of the regular and ad-hoc monitoring.

The actual system is based on a Data Warehouse where our Business logic automatically initiates Early Warning signals on completion of various conditions and controls classification processes accordingly. The Workflow system supports Monitoring processes and takes out heavy manual administration by displaying and storing all related information and accompanying documentation.

Apart from covering the local regulatory requirements, the benefit is a better risk overview, less exposures getting into a late payment period and a higher customer retention rate, which altogether results in significant savings for the Bank.

From Small Banking to Smart banking
Banking risk management and painless cost reduction

The main topic of the Bank-Inno conference held on the 21st of October 2011 for the second time was the future direction of ApPello’s software developments. The event hosted several banking executives both from Hungarian and foreign owned Banks; we would like to thank you again for your participation.

As has been said during the event, thanks to the continuous developments, we deliver our partners future proof systems, which can adapt easily to the market changes. We intend to keep anticipating the bank’s needs and further optimize the processes.

We put a great emphasis on creating solutions with a fast pay-off. An outstanding example for this is our Cash Management application, which can provide a return on investment even within six months.

The improvement of the user experience is also an important aim. Therefore we decided to take another big step: we work on the complete renewal of the the presentation layer and the underlying business logic.

The aim has remained the same: create clear and easy to use solutions, which can be customized to suit individual needs and be adapted to the changing market circumstances without unnecessary complexities.

This is important both in case of a branch transaction, where the client’s position can be more transparent and cross-selling can be enhanced, and also to provide information for the decision making process and to compile reports.

ApPello is trying to involve its customers in determining the key business related points of the developments, because this is how we can truly create value with our solutions.

 

The presented product portfolio

ApPello’s innovative Lending, Teller and Cash Management solutions can streamline the banking processes, reduce lending risks significantly and optimize the costs as well.

Our Smart Banking System can handle most of the banking processes. The developed system is aimed both for big banks and also for smaller financial institutions. The solution can simplify and speed up the front- and back-office processes, thus freeing up resources for higher value added activities.

ApPello Bank-Inno 2 conference – From Small Banking to Smart Banking

On the 21st of October 2011, ApPello is organizing the „2nd act” of its Bank-Inno conference, where the main emphasis will be on informality.

The relaxed atmosphere will be ensured by the performance of local standby-comedian star Viktor Szupkay, the wine tasting of the Söptei Winery as well as our event sponsor Aygor Lavazza, who will pamper our guests with great coffee. At the end of the day, a professional Aygor Lavazza coffee machine will be raffled among the participants!

The event will be concluded with a reception, giving the opportunity to have a good chat about banking or any other topic.

ApPello Bank-Inno 2011 Conference – Innovation in banking business and IT solutions

For the first time, ApPello Kft. organized Bank-Inno Conference on 28 September 2011, focusing on “Innovation in banking business and IT solutions.”

Our aim was to allow the professionals of the banking industry in Hungary to meet, exchange their insights and, together with us, seek solutions for common challenges by sharing ideas and thinking together.

Organized for the first time this year, the purpose of this event is to create a tradition of a forum for market players.

The conference hosted executives of several banks under Hungarian and foreign ownership. Three presentations were delivered by banking professionals and two by suppliers.

 

Attila Paksi, Sales and Marketing Manager at ApPello Ltd. held a presentation with the title “Directions and connections from the supplier’s aspect.” In his presentation he spoke about ApPello’s back office solutions and about following the constant changes in banking operations. He underlined that IT has a key role in the banks’ business also in the optimization of processes and costs.

 

András Gedai, Head of Cash Management at CIB Bank delivered a presentation called “Innovative solutions in cash logistics.” The professional of the bank, which uses ApPello’s Cash Management system included a scientific approach of the issue, and he also covered the questions of how to translate it into practice.

 

A timely topic was covered by Henrik Schauermann, Head of Credit Administration at Volksbank Hungary. In his presentation he analyzed the effects of fixed exchange rates for loans on the banking processes and the related IT systems from the aspect of a Back Office manager, outlining the business changes to be solved and the related development needs.

 

In his presentation János Hoós, Head of Corporate Modeling at K&H Bank explained how Risk Management systems work in an ever changing environment and presented the changes of modeling. He emphasized the importance of reconsidering risk management strategies and combining models as well as the need for strengthening risk consciousness.

 

The conference was spiced with a presentation in English: on behalf of Misys Banking Solutions, Pete Bottomley informed the audience about the improvement of the company’s Bank Fusion Payment Manager system and Misys Universal Banking development.

The conference ended by a reception where we had the opportunity to chat with the participants. Based on these conversations we believe that the event proved to be useful for the invited banking professionals.

ApPello Bank-Inno Conference

On the 28th of September 2011 ApPello is organizing a conference with the title „Innovation in banking business and banking IT solutions”.

The aim of the conference  is to provide a possibility for banking IT professionals and the representatives of the business departments of the local Banks to meet and exchange their experiences and to jointly launch an innovation process by sharing their ideas and needs.

The event will be held in Mix Club Bar Restaurant, on the recently created Eiffel Square close to the Western Railway Station in Budapest. We intend to create a tradition with this conference, and to provide a forum for the participants of the market every year from now.

The presentations to be held:

- Innovation of ApPello: development of the Small Banking Back Office Level 2 system (Attila Paksi, ApPello Ltd.)

- Innovative solutions in cash logistics (András Gedai, CIB Bank)

- The effects of the fixing of exchange rates on the banking processes with the eye of a Back Office manager (Henrik Schauermann, Volksbank)

We are moving

3 September, 2011

ApPello will be working in new offices from September 2011.

Due to the growth of ApPello, moving has now become a necessity, so our management decided for the change of our offices.

Requests of our employees were also taken into account. The central location was also a factor in the decision, since this way we stay close to our key customers, and make the travel to and from work easier for our colleagues.

In Madách Trade Center, larger spaces will be available for our employees, and all of us will be located on the same floor, which also facilitates the communication. In addition, we will have more meeting rooms and also some new community spaces.

The completely refurbished premises will be taken into our possession on the first weekend of September, on the 5th of September we will resume work already here.

 
Автоматическое тестирование

В  прошедших несколько месяцев дополнение к ручного тестирования ООО  ApPello использует автоматическое тестирование.

Обеспечение высокого качества наших программных продуктов была в центре нашего внимания. Мы стремимся  принимать гибкие методология разработки эксплуатированных в  ISO системе.

Мы сделали ещё один шаг вперёд на последней области: помимо ручного тестирования, мы начали использовать версию Selinium автоматический инструмент тестирования, с учётом наших потребностей.

Решение позволяет автоматически запускать предварительно созданные сложные сценарии тест составлен из легко модифицируемые тестов, что значительно сокращает время, необходимое для тестирования, а также риск возможных ошибок.

Другим важным фактором является то, что многочисленные вариации могут быть сделаны из тестов, которые могут быть запущены в качестве группы, тестирование, если данная система соответствует ожиданиям также с различными наборами данных.

Автоматизированного тестирования дополняется обработки и регистрации тестовых версий и конфигурирование обработки ошибок, которые делает отладку легче.

Наиболее важным аспектом, однако, что таким образом наше программное обеспечение, чтобы пройти через ещё один фильтр, дальнейшего снижения потенциального риска ошибок и повышения качества наших решений.

 
Управление денежной наличностью

Управление денежной наличностью -ApPello Cash Management- снижение затрат для банков. Решение является новом уровне, благодаря связанным исследованиям привлёкшем университета.

Касса и управление денежными средствами имеют историю более чем 10 лет. С тех пор компания работает на постоянное совершенствование Фес.

Ожидания бизнеса, возникающие в этой области может только быть покрыты интегрированной системы, в которой информация доступна прямо сейчас. Решение ApPello управляет клиента, филиалов, банкоматов потребностей в целях оптимизации банка в наличных средствах. Также она обеспечивает прозрачную отображения этой информации, которая, благодаря автоматизированное планирование, даёт возможность обеспечить соответствующее принимать решения.

Наша компания сделала ещё один шаг вперёд: с помощью нашего партнёра по исследованиям, университета Pannon , более продвинутые функции реализованы в системе. Решения  позволяет  значительную оптимизацию акций и депозитарных переводов между ветвями, на основе исторических Данные банка.

Во время анализа различных эффектов, мы оцениваем функций с предполагаемых потребностей наличных 99,99% надежности. Ниже аппликации функции принимают ежедневно, еженедельно, ежемесячно и других сезонных эффектов во внимание.

Периодические бэк-тестирование считается важным: аппликация функции автоматически принимать во внимание тенденции в соответствии с отраслевыми банка, структуру, привычек клиентов.  Решение таим образом  может быть использован для любых размеров банка или филиала.

Реализация функции в решение ApPello, субстанции эффективности может быть достигнуто путём оптимизации денежных запасов. Уже первые тесты показали, дополнительные 10-30% экономии по сравнению с предыдущими решениями. По сравнению с издержками, это может обеспечить рентабельность так быстро, как полгода, в случае даже меньше филиальной сети.

Совместный проект с университетом Pannon является выдающимся примером того, как наука и инновации могут быть поставлены на службу бизнеса и в этом для улучшения эффективности сокращения издержек и процессы.

Проведённые беседы с нашими клиентами показали, что пришёл оптимизации управления денежными средствами в центр внимания снова финансовых учреждений. Поэтому не удивительно, так как это один из немногих вариантов для "безболезненного" Сокращение затрат.

Successful ISO audit

ApPello successfully renewed it’s ISO certification, which justifies our energies invested in quality assurance.

During the ISO review process that took place in late May, the auditors only suggested minor improvements in the ApPello ISO documentation, concerning our training plans and the post-calculation of estimates.

During the audit the company's documentation and administrative arrangements, and the accomplishment of these in case of a selected project (planning, project management and administration) were studied. The company is taking the obligations related to the certification very seriously and considers the ISO as an opportunity for continuous quality improvement. These have contributed largely to the success of the audit.

Maintaining the quality requires the ongoing work and attention of all of us; besides the ISO regulation, several of our activities are aiming this. Our colleagues regularly recommend changes and improvements regarding our processes and documentation.

Apart from the human factor, we are also trying to create the technical conditions for quality work: we use various tools to facilitate our work e.g. for automatic testing, and in the near future, new software will help us in database design and in the management of requirements.

 
Health Tender

For ApPello the employees’ health and team-spirit is very important. This is why we submitted our tender application for the „Health training and approach forming lifestyle programmes” of the New Hungary Development Plan.

Our company won a non-refundable support of 9.976.845 HUF. We are going to use the awarded amount to develop the approach of our colleagues to health related issues, so that our employees will be able to live a harmonious life with regard to health, physical, spiritual and psychological aspects.

Microcredit Module

Our newest addition to our back-office product line is the ApPello Microcredit Program Module. For now the out of the box product is intended to cover the Hungarian Microcredit Program provided by MV Zrt, but based on our experiences, the data connection to similar programs in other countries can also be implemented with some extra developments.

The solution automates the extensive data service needs of these programs allowing the fast, easy, reliable and cost effective handling of these credits.

Successful tender

The new year started with good news for ApPello. Last year we submitted our tender application to the subsidy scheme of the Central Hungary Operational Program of the New Hungary Development Plan, which the committee recommended for funding with 6 yes and 0 no votes and 0 abstentions.

On the tender our company has won a non-refundable support of HUF 28.745.404. We will use the awarded amount to develop our Small Banking Back Office Level 2 system, which will allow us to provide an even more complete package both to our existing and our new clients in the near future.

10th annual „Bankszektor” conference – with the support and participation of ApPello

This year the deservedly popular “Bankszektor” conference will be held for the 10th consecutive time. The event has grown to be one of the most important banking gatherings in the past years.

This year as well, various leading personalities of the banking business will hold presentations to the participants, and there will also be round-table discussions, which provides an opportunity to discuss questions and create the basis of stabilization.

This year’s focus:

  • The crisis rises a lot of problems and questions, to which both the regulatory bodies and the financial institutions deliver their answers?
  • How are banks adapting to the stringent regulatory environment and to the stagnating economy?

Successful ISO audit

Quality Certification

The ISO 9001:2001 Quality Management System works successfully at ApPello since 1 year now. This June, the TÜV NORD Ltd. confirmed our certification during an audit review.

We invest a lot of energy in keeping our Quality Management System up-to-date and we believe that we did a great progress in the past 2 years concerning the quality assurance of our products. It is another way to serve our clients better and we already get positive feedback from them regarding our QA processes, which prove our efforts. We carried out a customer satisfaction survey recently and were happy to see the nice comments from our partners. Of course there are always some fields which can still be better, so we stay committed towards the ISO system and also towards the improvement of our processes.

March 3-8, 2009

The world's largest and most renowned trade fair for the world of IT and telecommunication, CeBIT, will be held this year between March 3-8, in Hannover, Germany. Bank Sector 2008

Our company is taking part in the Bank Sector 2008 trade forum as an exhibitor and presenter. The forum will be in the Budapest Novotel Hotel from November 24th - 26th, 2008. ISO Certificate

June 19th, 2008

ApPello has won a non-refundable subsidy on the KMOP – 2007 – 1.2.1/A tender, with the co-funding of the European Regional Development Fund for the implementation of our quality management system. The certificate has been issued by the TÜV NORD Kft on the 11th of June 2008, so the project closed successfully.
